What a small world again! Right in front of us Dreamcatcher dropped anchor. It is Jochen and Claudia and i was supposed to meet with him in Mannheim but it did not work out. They needed 28days for the crossing due to lack of wind. We had lunch with them yesterday together with Uli and Mike and tomorrow we can use their car for provisioning. Also i had another ugly toilet job to do. Like on the starbord side i replaced the lid of the holding tank and hope that the smell is then also gone on this side of the boat. I had to remove the back wall of the toilet and the windscreen of the window due to stupid construction. GRRRR Another beautiful caribbean sunset over the bay of Fort de France in Martinique. We also went to the city of Fort du France today but somehow we did not like the atmosphere. People are less friendly than on other islands we have visited and it is also more expensive. Somehow it is just like France, just that the weather is nicer. Lani was again swimming this morning.

This is the ferry dock at Anse Mitan. You can use it as a Dinghy dock on the side which the ferry is NOT using :-) The anchorage is in the background. In the Doyle cruising handbook a marina dock is mentioned but it is destroyed since some years. So to clear in you have to use the Dinghy or walk to the Marina near by. The supermarket in the marina is extremly "basic" and people in the marina seem to be bored and uninterested. A house in creolic style. They look nice and colorful. Near by there is a fruit store which is well sorted and has good salads and spices. A typical palmtree for this area. The anchorage as seen from the beach. Two monsters have been spotted on this beach recently: We are sad that Mike and Uli left us this evening since we had a great time with them.
