Due to lack of performance we had to fire our good old 5HP 2 stroke Yamaha. The negine was still running nice but in the future we will have longer passages to the boat or beach ot supermarket and we got a brand new Yamaha E15 15HP Enduro 2 stroke engine. The price was much cheaper than in Europe and this was also the reason we waited until the Caribbean. The old one got a nice last ride out to the anchorage and then we left it at the dealer and he will sell it for us. We still hope he is finding a good new home!

Every Friday night there is a street party in Gros Islet, around 10 minutes away from Rodney Bay marina. Taxi costs around 20 EC-Dollar thats around 5 EUR. There are many locals opening bars, selling food playing music, dancing and so on. The atmosphere is extremely relaxed, open and friendly and not pushy at all. We had rum punsch, beer and grilled prawns and chicken with rice and a creole sauce on top of it. Very nice. Andy came back to boat around 3 or 4 :-) but we were back earlier because Lani still needs to adapt to time change and so we knew that she would wake up around 6.30. (It was actually 6.45 when she woke up). Peter chatting with a bar dude. There are very small poor looking huts but also neat nice and clean houses.
