Dinghy Race

It is not at race at all. The only goal is to have fun, get wet from inside and outside. People throw with colored water, eggshells, whtaever they find to make a mess. Everyone dresses fancy and drinks beer. Later in the day it is going overt to a barbecue. Guess what happens when 32 nations start to party together. Bettina, Peter and Chico from the Vanora had fun.

Vela Latina - the catamaran basin

The Vela latina basin is now almost fully packed with catamarans. One Lagoon 500 seems to be still missing but otherwise all catamarans are here.

Flag parade

Today was the flag parade and a huge number of countries were present. A marching band was in front and one behind and then the whole parade walked through the marina. The boats have raised colorful flags and everyone is in party mood. In the afternoon there will be the famours DON PEDRO DINGHY RACE. John Gordon was carrying the scottish flag wearing a kilt and he showed us what is beneath but i clicked a second to late :-) The crew of the Catana 471 Campechano was walking with the Puerto Rican flag and they are the real party animals and always in a good mood.

One week to go

Today the last week started. So there should be no big things left. Well, our wind vane is still not working and traveling without windspeed and direction would be bad. But i am confident that this will get fixed. To the left Lani Lani wants us to smell at the flower. Yesterday was the kids beach party and around 30 kids participated with 3 around 2years but Lani is still the youngest. They played funny games, were running around and were completly dirty and covered with sand. Lani had a good sand dinner. After the beach party there was a cocktail dinner for the boat owners and from the picture it looked like Lani did have some red wine. She slept in her pram right at the party and the fishing lure in her pram is one of here favorite toys. Of course the fishing hooks are removed. Just now another catamaran arrived, a Nautitech 47feet. So we are still in the group with the smallest catamaran. There are 3 Lagoon 38feet, one from the US, one from the UK and ours.
