Green Cay on Jost van Dyke



LinoCat moved to Green Cay, a smal island with a beautiful beach and a nice reef with good snokeling.

La Medianoche with Ralf and Helmuth is also here and on the beach we met a swiss couple and i chatted with them for a while. They have tried out a catamaran the first time and they are amazed about the size and sailing capability. They have been sailing around for 2 weeks on the BVI´s.

Lani enjoyed the sand and the water and was of course crying when we left the beach for lunch.

I am sure she will fall asleep very fast for her afternoon nap and i would not be surprised if her daddy would do the same :-)

Life is good and this looks like the Caribbean!

3000km with the Triumph 1200 XE

 Gestern erreichte ich 3000km mit der 1200 XE, sie ist also nun quasi "gut eingefahren". Das Mopped macht mir Spass, ist kein Leichtgewicht, weil eben alles aus Metall ist, was nach Metall aussieht und mein Po schmerzt mir erst nach ca 3h.  Ich habe das Bluetooth-Modul nachruesten lassen und verwende es zusammen mit den SENA Komponenten in meinem Helm. Manchmal ist es etwas nervig, bis man alle Devices in der richtigen Reihenfolge gekoppelt hat. Aktuell verwende ich den Schuberth C5 und das neue Sena SC2 direkt mit dem Galaxy S22 gekoppelt. Damit umgehe ich das BT Modul der Scrambler, werde das aber wieder umstellen. Die 3000km waren unspektakulär, lediglich die Batterie des Moppeds machte bereits schlapp. Selbst ein überbrücken war nicht möglich, da die defekte Batterie hier dazwischenfunkte. New blogger software version

It is nice to have the sails up. They could use a wash though and the mainsail has a very small hole which could be repaired. This blog entry has been done with the new version of blogger. I am curious how it will work out. Entry to Lagos. You have to request the opening of the drawbridge via VHF radio on channel 9. Positive sideeffect: it is difficult to steal a yacht from this marina. Especially at night when the drawbridge is not operated :-)
