Thank god! The last night in France

Have you ever seen a sign at a garbage bin that you are not allowed to dump your garbage during the day? Maybe they do it here because it looks so digusting and smells so ugly that people should not go there during the day?

Or was the smell coming from this small river?

Never on another caribbean island we have seen so much dirt than on the french ones. The dinghy dock here in Marigot stinks like they pee all over it every night.

This floating swimmingpool was built in front of the beach in Grande Case. In 2 days we saw NOBODY swimming there. Of course, the beautiful beach is right around it and it is the same sea water. since it is only a floating pontoon. But the fun thing is:
It is paid by the European union! Anyone wonders where the money goes?

We went to Marigot this morning to clear out. You remember that they had printer problems, right? Guess what: YEAH, they send me again to Fort Luis marina. So we have customs office which is not able to do their duty. Even though nothing is saved on the PCs they do not have paper to do that. Weird!

So again i paid 7,50 this time for typing in my own data and get one page of print out stamped.

Then i wanted to change a blue FRENCH camping gaz cylinder in FRANCE. And guess what: They only have one place where they change them and they ran out of stock. I discovered this after walking through the crappy village and coming to the "bricolage" shop and they were still closed. A guy who worked there just came back from his lunch break and told me that not before next week they would have butane gas again.
YEAH, in St Lucia they would REFILL ours for 8 EUR and here it would have costed 24 EUR!!! but they do not even have it in stock.

The good ting was that by Dinghy we went to the US supermarket and bought some food items since you can stroll the shopping cart right to the dinghy.

So tonight i need a beer! Andy maybe a good movie! And around 3 or 4 we will set sail to the BVI.
i was wondering why on this island they have so many customes and coast guard boats. I guess it is maybe like with the Berlin wall, they are keeping people back on this island otherwise it would be empty or every one would live on the dutch side!
:-)

Au revoir!
