More about Grenada
The Dinghy dock sucks, our dinghy was underneath the dock and so it now has scratches everywhere. The dock should have a proper conctruction to prevent dinghies going underneath.
Also the swell and mosquitos here are not helping to find a good night sleep. So if you want to have your boat hauled out here, then just arrive a day before.
The price for the haulout is very competitive, it was 228 USD for LinoCat and 85 USD for the high pressure wash. 38USD is it for the "chock", which is the storage of the boat.
This price includes even 5 days on the hard for the boat.
Island waterworld has a store here, where you can get Jotun and Seahawk Antifoulings.
People in Grenada marine are very friendly and helpful.
Now about the island tour:
First we visited the Grenada Chocolate factory. Their chocolate won the silver medal from the London academy of chocolate. They did not have time for a guided tour but they gave us some chocolate to try out. Normally i do not like dark chocolates but this one was very good.
Good news for people allergic to nuts: In the Grenada chocolate there is no nut, not even in traces since they do not produce any nut chocolate.

The we visited the near by River Antoine Rum distillery. What should i say, you feel they are resisting to modernize the factory. You feel you are transported back in time 100 years. They crush the sugar cane twice, ferment it and then distill it.
The MILD one has ONLY 69% alcohol. We did a short tasting and it tasted soft for that alcohol amount. So for around 5 Euro we bought a bottle.
Just due to taxes on alcohol it would cost a lot more to produce it in Europe.
We just reached St. George to see the sun sink into the ocean and then we headed for the Belair Plantation resort for dinner.
