First time NorthSea

During the 35th, 26th and 27th it was the first time that we got out of the Ijsselmeer and to the Northsea with all the tide and current and ships and islands etc. It was a nice experience even though the weather was not to nice. The lock has a normal chamber and then this draw bridge which not really "drawing :-)" but turning Big things cross your way on the north sea.

Our Parasailor2 arrived today. With a guy from the deliverycompany ISTEC we did a testsail and we were more than happy. we reached 10knots and what more can you ask for on 38feet catamaran. These days that would not be possible due to the weight we added to the boat.

The first mishap happened on the boat. the warm water boiler leaked because a hoseclamp was not tightened properly at the factory. So all warmwater ended up in the bilge. Today Markus, Marc and Frank visited LinoCat and we discussed about our future plans and ideas.

Hi, today i have installed the ACR GlobalFix 406 EPIRB. It includes a GPS, so that we can be found (hopefully) if we have to call for emergency assistance. And it is my birthday i just realized :-) The EPIRB is registered with the MMSI number 211152550 Our callsign by the way is DB3049 not to be mixed up with my amateur radio callsign DB8US.
