LinoCat

We are waiting for warmer weather in the marina of Duesseldorf at the Rhine river.

LinoCat went into the water today. The pictures are in reverse order so here you see him swimming. YES; LinoCat is not female but a MALE boat :-) The huge crane in Duesseldorf with the adjustable legs. Amazing. This lift can lift up to 700tons. At the BOOT in Duesseldorf LinoCat was displayed. Also there were some additions made like the electronics. The boat was brought via landtransport. Here you see LinoCat with the Lagoonflag in the exhibition hall. It just fitted with a total height of around 18m. One of the Raymarine E120 plotters fitted on the outside helm station. The second one is on the inside helm station. Here you can see the cabin layout of the Lagoon 380.

At the nautic salon in Paris i first saw the Lagoon 380 S2 in real. It was love at first sight. After a short walk around i could imagine getting this boat. Of course there are bigger ones and of course there are other brands like Catana. But the price tag in relation to what you get seemed to be worth going for this boat.

LinoCat is named after the cat "Lino" which our neighbours found in heir garage. Since he was very active during night they asked us to be his parents during night. So during night he stayed in our flat during day he was at the Hoffies (our neighbours). Lino was the best cat i ever had. Since cat stands for the animal and the boat category the name LinoCat was just too natural. And also it can be pronounced in many languages and there was no other ship registered with that name in the ITU ship database .
