Clifton Island

Image
We met with Charly and Lisa from Bomika and Volker from Sunjet for a sundowner on Happy island. After a few rumpunch we had the real caribbean feeling and we could live with the semi-good sunset. Since 2 days the weather is very humid and hazy with visibility of less than 5 miles. Humidity is around 65 to 70% and the wind has died down to 6knots so it is starting to feel very hot. Also to the left you can see a dump from our chart plotter and how we anchored behind Baradel island. To the right (east) you can also see the horsehsoe reef which protects the Tobago cays and where we snorkeled. The Outback Felxmate 60A charge controller produced an output of 223Ah over the day with peak charge at 43A during noon. With so many people on board the watermaker is running many hours since we produce around 125Liter of water per day at least. The "average" sunset as seen from happy island

Outboard repair on Union island

Image
This mechanic is fixing a Yamaha outboard engine. The tools were amazing and he was completely dissasembling it on the ground. It was not a minor repair, he replaced the crankshaft!

Tobago Cays

Image
Today morning we went snorkeling on the outer reef of the Tobago Cays. Alisa and Nina did very good and so we snorkeled for one hour. Unfortunately we did not see the usual nurse shark or any other bigger fish but we saw plenty of colorful fishes and we all had fun. We are no in Clifton on Union island and so we are currently having an internet connection.

Andi, Anja, Nina and Alisa arrived

Yes, finally we are back in the Tobago Cays and the good news is that Andi, Anja, Nina and Alisa also arrived safe. The girls directly went for some snorkeling with the turtles and some of the older kids (Chris, Andi and myself) went to the reef but did not see anything spectacular besides the normal stuff. On the way to the Tobago Cays we saw a whale with the fountain of water and air erupting into the air. Very nice. Currently Andi, Anja and the girls are snorkeling with the turtles. If they feel confident we will take them also the outer reef for snorkeling. Once we have a working internet connection, we will upload some pictures.

In Bequia again

Image
We like Bequia and so we are having Dinner at Devils Table and coffee at Gingerbread. Fresh Baguette is delivered to the boat in the morning and the water looks nice. It has been raining a few times but only short showers. And i have a short haircut again Life is good!

LinoCat has done it!

Image
LinoCat has done 10000 nautical miles yesterday just in front of St Lucia. We had planned to moor at the pitons but all moorings were already occupied and so we directly sailed through the night to Bequia.
