Hi, today i have installed the ACR GlobalFix 406 EPIRB. It includes a GPS, so that we can be found (hopefully) if we have to call for emergency assistance. And it is my birthday i just realized :-) The EPIRB is registered with the MMSI number 211152550 Our callsign by the way is DB3049 not to be mixed up with my amateur radio callsign DB8US.

It was freezing cold well below 0 Celcius but we were so enthusiastic that of course we went out for a daysail.

It was a lot about practising setting the sails and getting them down etc. But we must have done a good joob since the sun came out and it was a nice and smooth ride.

Nothing beats a good coffee. Andreas, Chris and myself enjoying the diesel-heating aboard the boat.

LinoCat in Lemmer. There were not many boats on the Ijsselmeer these days. Traffic from commercial ships was there of course. It was quite exciting to meet the first "real" ships and think of right of way etc. It was also a good training to visualize them on the radar.

Tonight was the first night on the boat. Temperature around the freezing point. Nevertheless we went out and Andreas Blauscha gave a very nice introduction about this catamaran.

Here at the FLEVO MARINA in Lelystad the mast has been put up. Unfortunatly i was in India at that time :-(
